War of the Worlds (2005) 4 Stars out of 5 When you first look at the title, your mind, in my opinion should be bombarded with scenarios and images of a war that takes action in these days. Therefore, I was expecting to see armament from guns to thermobaric weapons or nuclear weapons etc.. Not an alien invasion. Thus, I could only say that I was pleasantly surprised by the actual war that was presented in the movie, because it was a new and original alternative for a war. 'A war seen from another perspective...' Firstly, War of the Worlds fits in more than one genre and these are: Action, Adventure and the obvious one Sci-Fi. Secondly... just let me tell you the plot of this film: The scenario is based on updating the novel by H.G. Wells known as the first Sci-Fi story about invading alien, a story that has become classical.
