War of the Worlds (2005) 4 Stars out of 5 When you first look at the title, your mind, in my opinion should be bombarded with scenarios and images of a war that takes action in these days. Therefore, I was expecting to see armament from guns to thermobaric weapons or nuclear weapons etc.. Not an alien invasion. Thus, I could only say that I was pleasantly surprised by the actual war that was presented in the movie, because it was a new and original alternative for a war. 'A war seen from another perspective...' Firstly, War of the Worlds fits in more than one genre and these are: Action, Adventure and the obvious one Sci-Fi. Secondly... just let me tell you the plot of this film: The scenario is based on updating the novel by H.G. Wells known as the first Sci-Fi story about invading alien, a story that has become classical. The subject is the extraordinary struggle of humanity to secure the eyes of an American family who wants to survive. Tom Cruise plays Ray Ferri

Dear Media Enrichment, I'm Elena and I invite you to join me on Media Enrichment's journey... I would say that... it is an eerie journey full of new experiences; perhaps not very pleasant. Chill down! I was joking. However, we are going to gain information about horror movies by watching different scary films and then exploring everything that made that particular movie, a horror film. Another activity included in this daaark journey, will be to analyse posters of movie films, as well as trailers. Surprisingly, at the end of this journey we will have the opportunity to create our own horror trailer. This experience will be like exploring for the first time a haunted house.
